Claire Bailey, Dip Grad Phys MCSP HPC-REGISTERED ESP ACPOMIT AACP

Claire Bailey

I graduated in 1989 from Bath school of Physiotherapy and have since worked full time, initially at Basingstoke District Hospital and subsequently at Frimley Park Hospital, both large District General Hospitals. I have extensive clinical experience in the assessment, treatment and management of musculoskeletal disorders and sports injuries.

I currently work as an Orthopaedic Practitioner in hospital clinics, seeing both NHS and military patients, which involves working very closely with the Hospital Consultant Surgeons. I have enjoyed doing this since 2000. This enables me to keep abreast of any new developments and also establishes a good communication link between my patients and the rest of the medical team.

Since its commencement in 2002, I have been the Practice Partner of Queens Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic.

Professionally, I am HPC-registered and am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), Health Professions Council (HPC), Extended Scope Physiotherapy Group (ESP) and Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Orthopaedic Medicine and Injection Therapy (ACPOMIT).

I am also a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP), having practiced acupuncture since 1994. I gained an MSc module in Steroid Injection Therapy in 2002, for which I received an award from Frimley Park Hospital. I was also invited to lecture to the locality on "Knee Assessment and Differential Diagnosis".

My treatment philosophy is to accurately assess, identify and treat the cause of the problem, thus assisting in a speedy return to optimal fitness whilst minimizing the risk of recurrence.
